Virtually gone…

Words cannot express my horror at the devastation in Joplin, Missouri after that city took a direct hit from a tornado Sunday.

Early reports are that 75% of Joplin is virtually gone.

To those who mourn and those who face the aftermath, my thoughts are with you.

To my friends who are traveling to Joplin to lend medical assistance…please let us know what we can do to help.

It is getting worse with each day. The planet is showing us exactly what is coming. Batten down the hatches. We need to prepare for these changes. This is a real opportunity for all of us to make some changes. I am sad for the people who lost family members and friends. My thoughts are with them.

Shark Fu -

Eric Cantor has just said any federal relief going to the Missouri tornado victims can only come if we cut from the budget somewhere else. In other words, he is playing partisan politics with American lives.

At this point, we are not Democrats or Republicans in Missouri (I am in Virginia) - we are Americans, period! How do we get through to the thick-headed?

I pray for Missouri and all they are going through, and I am praying for you as well, Shark.

Please let us know if you have a suggestion for where to send money. My first thought is always the Red Cross, but perhaps there's a local organization that will pass more dollars on to direct relief.
